Project Summary

DIMI provides users an introduction to the Design Thinking (DT) process through a series of simulation activities that lead to a curated outcome.

My Role

I covered both branding and UI, leading a team of 4 developers to build the redesigned product focused on a refreshed look with intuitive interactions.

The Challenge

The previous design theme was Disney fairytale characters. Feedback given was to have age-neutral designs as the target users are teenagers and adult learners.

Key Features

  • Journey Mode brings users through 3 stages.

  • Quick Ideation is a simulated workspace.

Project Process

As the Project Lead, I coordinated with 4 developers remotely. Our work rotated around Trello, Figma, Miro and Google slides.

  • Journey Mode

    Users are brought through 3 stages of a game map. In each stage, a series of activities provide informative interactions.

  • Users choose an industry of interest. Stage content such as case studies used will be based on selected industry.

  • Stage 1: Envision

    Quiz activity results displays user’s choices in Levels of Potential Opportunities for innovation.

  • Stage 2: Empathise

    Simulated interviews lead to creation of a Persona with a need statement.

  • Stage 3: Create

    Users are challenged to ideate based on the generated need statement of their Persona.
